Mark Anthony Madrid, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, died on Saturday, May 4, 2013, of a heart attack while diving near Santa Rosa, CA. He was 49. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Cristina, sons Jackson and Myles, and mother, Mercedes, all of Antioch. He is also survived by his brother Tom, sister-in-law Kristy, and nieces Katarina and Janet-Leigh, all of Pittsburg; and his brother Albert of Herlong.
Mark was born in Pittsburg, CA, and was a Project Manager for Shapell Homes. Known for his sense of humor, he enjoyed life to the fullest and was passionate about cooking and fishing. Mark excelled at anything he put his mind to, including golf, guitar, culinary school, and his work as a general contractor. He was a man who lived large, and it is a comfort to his family that he died doing something he truly loved, abalone diving with his best friend in his beloved Pacific Ocean.
Mark will be deeply missed by all who were graced by his presence in their lives. Services will be held at a private residence on Sunday, May 19th at noon.
