Marlene Ann Lessley of historic Port Chicago passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on April 20, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.  Marlene was born on October 15, 1935 to Lawrence "Duke" Conley and Signe Elizabeth Sjodin Conley in Port Chicago CA. Marlene being a native of Port Chicago is a "Bomb Blast" survivor being 9 years old at the time. Marlene was married July 4th 1952 to her beloved husband Leland Wayne Lessley and they had 2 beautiful children Patrick Wayne Lessley and Erin Elaine Lance. Marlene was a gifted artist, cake decorator sought out by many and avid adult joke teller. She was loved by all that met her with her huge infectious smile. She was preceded in passing by her dearly loved husband, son, sister and many other close family members. She is survived by her daughter, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many adored family and friend.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral services Friday, April 28, 2017 at 1:00pm both days at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Burial following at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Concord.
