Mary Jane Carpenello passed gently into the night May 20th, due to complications resulting from respiratory failure. Mary Jane was born in Pittsburg, California, where she graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1955. She later married Don Carpenello, and worked part time while supporting him through College. They continued to live in the Santa Clara area, where she was very active in PTA, and made many lifelong friends. It seemed to come natural to Mary Jane to make close friends, with her calm and friendly demeanor, she was very open and easy to talk to. In 1976 she and the family moved to Dublin Calif, and remained there until her passing. She loved to be active in the local schools and for a time was supporting the Math Department, as a tutor. She was a member of St. Raymond's Catholic Church. As the years passed she became involved with the local TOPS chapter, and for many years was instrumental in its success, where she formed even more close relationships. She enjoyed staying in touch with her girlfriends from the PHS graduating class of 1955. She was very involved in the lives of her grandsons, which was a point of great pride for her. One of Mary Jane's favorite places was the beach front at Lakeland Village, Lake Tahoe, spending countless hours reading and taking in the beautiful landscape. There will forever be a print in the sand of her tush.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Don, her son Don and his wife Brenda Carpenello, Daughter Teri and husband Vince Passanisi, and her 4 Grandsons: Benjamin, Vince, Gianni and Nicholas.
