Mary Hernandez, passed away suddenly on April 15, 2022, at Kaiser Hospital in Antioch. Mary was born in San Bernardino, California in 1940.  She was raised by Bina and Pilar Ortega family at the age of 5 in Antioch, CA where she graduated from Antioch Senior High School in 1958.  She went on to Beauty School in Oakland, during this time she met her husband Jess and married the same year, as they settled in Pittsburg, they went on to have three children, Belinda Russo (Tom) Jesse Jay passed away 2002 and Mario (Sarah).  Her grandchildren are Jason Palomino, Jessica Palomino, Zackary Hernandez (Lauren) and Dominik Hernandez, and great grandchildren Jacob Aguilar, Gabriela Aguilar, Alec, Ethan, Adam Hernandez, and Jesse J Hernandez Jr.

Mary worked with her husband for 50 years they own and operated Jess Hernandez Body Shop and Towing. He was the love of her life for 63 years; Mary was still mourning the loss of her husband who passed 4 months ago.

A Divide Mercy Chaplet will be held 9:30am, followed by a funeral liturgy at 10am at Church of the Good Shepherd on Friday, May 20, 2022. Inurnment following to Holy Cross Cemetery in Antioch.
