Mercedes Martinez passed away peacefully at home surrounded
by her loving family
on Thursday, February 2, 2012. She was born in Purepero, Michoacan Mexico and came to the US in 1964. She touched many lives with her love and kindness. She was a devoted Catholic and a member of St. Peter Martyr Church. She is survived by her children Teresa Gutierrez, Bertha Saucedo, Martha Cerda, Hortencia Medina, Jose, Hector, Raul, Fidel and Gilberto Martinez. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren,
56 great grandchildren and 23 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Gilberto H. Martinez, grandchildren
Gerardo Medina and Jesse Saucedo and great great granddaughter Yvette (Kika) Rodriguez. She will be greatly
missed by all who loved her dearly. Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, February 9, 2012 from 4-8pm with a vigil at 7pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy Friday, February 10, 2012 at 10:00am at St. Peter Martyr Church. Committal services
