Michael Andrew O'Brien (affectionately known as "Big Mike") passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2025, at Sutter Delta Medical Center in Antioch, CA, due to respiratory complications.

Born on May 21, 1960, in Walnut Creek, California, Mike was a lifelong resident of Antioch, CA. Standing 6'3" tall, he had a commanding presence—tough yet kind-hearted, with a great sense of humor that could light up any room.

Mike worked as a commercial hazmat truck driver, a profession he truly loved. He was also a dedicated sports fan and had a deep appreciation for friendship, forming lifelong bonds with those around him.

A devoted father, brother, and son, Mike was the beloved firstborn of James Allen O'Brien and Donna Rae Williams. He is survived by his three sons, Michael, Andrew, and Aiden O'Brien, as well as his two brothers, Mitchell and Darrin O'Brien. He also leaves behind a large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends, all of whom will deeply miss him.

Mike's presence, laughter, and love will remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 24th, at 11:00am. A celebration of Mike's life will follow at Celia's Restaurant, 523 W 10th St, Antioch, from 11:30am to 1:30pm.
