Mireya Ana Vasquez was born November 20, 1997, in Antioch California. She grew into a beautiful woman with great promise and a bright future that was cut tragically short. She was compassionate, understanding and a loyal friend to those who came to know her. She had an incredible sense of humor and sharp wit. Able to make you laugh no matter the time of day. Even at a young age, she showed tremendous ambition with an unrelenting drive to be herself and to live out her dreams regardless of the obstacles. She was an overachiever, a light that shown brightly. She could always be counted upon to be brutally honest in the kindest way. You could always know when Mireya was home because it was joyful, loud and chaotic. Her presence was felt everywhere she went. Mireya was an amazing and glamorous young women with a magnetic personality. Mireya had a passion for makeup and learned that makeup isn't what makes you beautiful; it's the person that you are which makes you beautiful. Mireya was a senior at Pittsburg High School and a part-time Courtesy Clerk at Safeway in Clayton. She is survived by her parents Jose Vasquez II and Julie Vasquez; brother Jose III, sister Erica, grandmothers Maria Cabral and Rafaela Vasquez, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She has now joined her grandfathers Jose Vasquez and Leopoldo Cabral, and uncle Gene. She will be in loving memory forever. We will miss her desperately.
