Nancy Lee Garcia who passed away peacefully on July 1, 2024, at the age of 83 yrs. Nancy was a graduate of Pittsburg Senior High School in 1958, and Cosmetology College in 1964. Nancy worked for Pittsburg Unified School District for 23 years, and she was a business owner of Charmaine's Salon in Pittsburg. She loved doing crafts at home, being with her friends at the casinos or spending time around her kitchen table with family and friends. She enjoyed her annual bad mommy's weekend in Reno NV. CA. Nancy was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She was a confidant to her family and those she always treated as family. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Joe Garcia, her parents Fred and Gerry Stead, her brother Fred Stead Jr., Gilbert Gomez (Danielle Gomez) and survived by her children Joette Garcia (Paula Carpino), Joe Garcia Jr. (Michael Carthage) grandson Gilbert Gomez, Marcella Gomez and Brandee Quinones and great grandchildren Danielle and James Quinones and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at the Good Shepherd Church in Pittsburg, followed by a reception immediately after at the Good Shepherd Church Hall.

Memorial Funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday September 19, 2024, at 10:30am at Church of the Good Shepherd in Pittsburg, followed by a reception immediately after mass in the Church of the Good Shepherd Hall.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations towards the Alzheimer's Association PO Box 96011, Washington DC 20090-6011.
