Nancy Parrish Looney, born Nancy Jane Costa, passed away on December 13, 2025, at the age of 95 after a brief illness.  She was born on December 27, 1929, in West Pittsburg, California. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Hermalinda Costa, a child, Richard Floyd Hudson, and a grandson, Derek Hal Parrish. She is survived by three children, Ernie Parrish, Hal Parrish, and Elisa Hurd: 7 Grandchildren, Michelle Gress, Stacie Parrish, Ryan Parrish, Racheal Moore, Adrienne Ferrusquia, Amber Bustos, and Christopher Hurd. She also had 16 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She attended Ambrose Elementary School and graduated from Mt. Diablo High School in 1947.  She worked her entire life. When she was young, she went to work in the fields picking fruits and vegetables, and then worked at the U.S. Steel Mill as the Mail Lady.  She later went to work at Payless Drug Store in Pleasant Hill, California, and then moved on to Thrifty Drug Store, where she retired.

She loved reading, going to thrift stores, and watching television, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She was the Matriarch of our family and will be truly missed by all who loved her.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, with services starting at 11:00 am at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Memory Gardens in Concord with a reception afterwards at the Sheriff's Hall (DSA Hall) located at 1780 Muir Road, Martinez, California.
