Nasib (Sibo) Kaur Singh passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by family, on the evening of July 26 ^th , 2021.

She and her late husband, Dharma Singh migrated to Fiji in 1947.  In Fiji she raised her eight children and established relationships that would play a major role throughout her life.

Sibo came to the United States in 1978 where she worked on a farm in Fresno for three months.  She then became a resident of Pittsburg, CA, where she lived for 43 years. While living in Pittsburg, Sibo became a pillar of the community.  She played a significant role at the Sri Guru Ravidass Temple where she dedicated her weekends to Sewa in the Langar Hall.

Sibo's favorite hobbies were cooking, sewing, watching her favorite tv shows, which included wrestling and the show COPS. She also enjoyed watching Hindi & Punjabi films with her family. She was among the first set of ladies who worked tirelessly in the kitchen when the Guru Ghar opened in 1985. She spent her time in the Guru Ghar cooking and making sweets.

Sibo was third of seven siblings.  She is preceded in death by her husband Dharma Singh and her children, Prem Chand, Tara Mati and Lal Chand.

Sibo is survived by her five children: Resham Thind (Ravi), Gurdyal Chand (Kiran), Satya Pal (Dharam Pal), Resham Singh (Simar), Jenny Raj (Lekh Raj), her daughter-in-laws Emmal and Nirmala, her 22 grandchildren and her 25 great grandchildren.

Viewing will be held at Pittsburg Funeral Chapel, 2295 Railroad Avenue, Pittsburg, CA from 4 – 6pm on Tuesday, August 3 ^rd , 2021. Services will be held at Pittsburg Funeral Chapel, 2295 Railroad Avenue, Pittsburg, CA beginning at 10am on Wednesday, August 4 ^th , 2021. Cremation will immediately follow at Oak View Memorial Park, 2500 E 18th Street, Antioch, CA.

Final Ardas will be held at Sri Guru Ravidass Temple, 2150 Crestview Drive, Pittsburg, CA immediately following cremation.
