Nelly Carmen Padilla de Velasquez born on February 24, 1931 from the proud parents of Fernando Padilla and Petrona Padilla. She was the youngest of 7 and born and raised in Granada, Nicaragua.


Nelly is survived by her loving daughter, Mayra Cisneros. Her three grandchildren: Michell Hernandez, Jennifer Roberson, and Jessie Roberson. Her five great grandchildren: Isaac, Angelo, Ayanna, kymanni, and Omari. She is also survived by her three sisters Lupe, Yelba, and Alicia Velasquez (Manuel).

Nelly was a proud and strong mother who raised her daughter to be the strong and independent woman she is. She was a loving grandmother who adored all of her grandchildren. She had a profound love for all her siblings.

Memorial funeral liturgy will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 11:00am at Church of the Good Shepherd in Pittsburg.
