Obituary

Nita Esposito passed away on Friday. She touched many lives with her active and social spirit.Nita was born in Pittsburg, California and was one of seven children. She worked tirelessly for the community and church. She was President of the Pittsburg Historical Society and a life-long member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Nita also initiated, designed, and raised funds for the Fisherman and Steelworker statues in Pittsburg.Nita is survived by her children: Louis Esposito (Sherrill), Anna Couchman, and Rose McCallen (David), six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, sister Sarah Enea and an extended family. Her generous and passionate character will be missed.Friends and family are invited to a viewing on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 4:00pm with a vigil at 7:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy Friday, July 6, 2012 at 10:00am at St Peter Martyr Church. Committal services following at Holy Cross Cemetery, Antioch.
