Norman passed away Thursday, Nov 3, 2016 after a short bout with pneumonia. Norman is survived by his loving wife of 46, years Shirley L. Kalousek. Norman was born in Kansas City, Kansas to Robert E. Kalousek and Helen Franklin of Kansas. He is survived by 4 children: Norman Kalousek, Debbie Abon, James Lucas and Karen Whyte, as well as 7 grandchildren: Desiree, Jennifer, Amanda, Kimberly, Daniel, Kenny, and Miranda and 3 great grandchildren: Alissa, Alexis, and Matt.
Norman proudly served 30 years in the Marines and National Guard. He was a carpenter for Local Union 152 for 25 years, and a cross guard for the Pittsburg Unified School District for close to 8 years. He loved hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles but most of all he loved his family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 9:00am with a service at 11:00am at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel.
