Noverto was born in Mesilla, New Mexico.  At the age of 10 he lost his father and had to quit school to help support the family. Later getting his G.E.D. high school diploma.
After serving his country in the U.S. Army Noverto continued his military service in the California Army National Guard where he served 35 years achieving the rank of E-8 First Sergeant.  He retired from  U.S. Steel in the Weigh Master Department after 33 years.  Noverto also spent many years as a police officer with the Contra Costa County Sheriffs Reserves.
Noverto got great joy from his grandchildren and great grandchildren, enjoying all the many family gatherings.  He also enjoyed watching his favorite teams, the SF 49ers & SF Giants, swearing at the tv when they botched a play or cheering when they did good.

Noverto is preceded in death by his mother Soledad Gonzalez Misquez, father Pedro Misquez and wife Matilda Duran Misquez.   He is survived by his two children Noverto Jr (Monica) of Antioch and Veronica Mae Misquez of Pittsburg. Four grandchildren, Stephanie Brown (Glisper) of Brentwood, Robert Misquez (Trena) of Brentwood, Stephen Misquez (Cindy) of Oakley and Jason Misquez (Neriah) of Antioch. Thirteen great grandchildren, Hector, Justin, Aaliyah, Ryan, Jake, Noah, Kaleb, Sophia, Lily, Stephen, Mason, Glisper Jr. and Julian.   Longtime care givers Maria Munoz and Tina Munoz.

He is also survived by his brothers Pete Misquez, Raymon Misquez, and sister Corrina all of Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021 from 2:00 to 6:00pm. Chapel blessing Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 11:00am both days at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Committal services following at Holy Cross Cemetery in Antioch.
