Patricia R. Barnes was born in Antioch California on November 2, 1944, to Nino and Mamie Russo. Pat unexpectedly passed away with love and god in her heart surrounded by her beloved family on November 22, 2024

After four years as vice president at Pittsburg High School, she graduated in 1962. It was this year she started her career at Dow Chemical. In 1963, she married the love of her life, Robert Barnes. She continued fulfilling her passion for sports by participating in numerous Dow Chemical sporting events. Her love for sports included the Giants, The 49ers, and the Warriors. During this time she raised two beautiful children, James and Jennifer.

Throughout Pat's 80 years, she loved to watch her grandsons do what they love, be with her family, attend church, keep in touch with all of her high school peers, and cheer on her favorite sports teams.

Pat is preceded in death by, Nino and Mamie Russo, and her brother, Joseph Russo. Pat is survived by her son James and daughter Jennifer (John). Grandsons, Zephan, Zachary, and Brody. Numerous Aunts and Uncles will never be forgotten.

Pat will always be remembered for her gracious smile, big hugs, her baking, her pizzas, her love for her Bay Area sports, and most of all, her unconditional support and love for her grandsons and their activities.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm with a rosary at 4:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 11:00am at Church of the Good Shepherd. Committal services following at Holy Cross Cemetery in Antioch.
