Peter Aiello was born August 26, 1926 in Pittsburg, CA., to Antonio and Francesca Aiello. Pete was the youngest of 5 children and in his eyes, enjoyed an idyllic childhood under the watchful eyes of his siblings, Mary, Jack, Rosalie and Josephine. Pete graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1944 and proudly played for the undefeated 1944 Pittsburg Pirate Football team.
Pete was honored to serve in the United States Army during World War ll and continued to serve his community as a City of Pittsburg Firefighter for nearly 30 years. He volunteered many hours to the Pittsburg Swim Team, as well as Pittsburg Bocce Federation.
Pete enjoyed Westerns, music of the Big Band Era, playing Bocce Ball and firing up the BBQ. He loved telling stories (some true), never met a stranger, and loved chatting with his longtime friends about the old days, but was happiest surrounded by his beloved family.
Pete is survived by his wife Dolores (Gray), 3 children, Sue Lawry (Dave), Peter Aiello (Cheryl), Frances Aiello, and numerous beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and extended family members.

Memorial funeral liturgy will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 1:00pm at Church of the Good Shepherd. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to National Fallen Firefighters Foundation P.O. Drawer 498, Emmitsburg, MD 21727 or charity of your choice.
