Poliana Telesia Kaitapu Lui moved on from this life on the morning of August 29, 2024, after a 4 year long battle with cancer. Poliana, or Poli to her friends, was born in Lapaha, Tongatapu on July 22, 1970, to Penisimani Kaitapu of Ha'ato'u, Ha'apai and Kameli, Vava'u and Siliva Na'a of Falaleu, Vava'u and Lapaha, Tongatapu. After moving to the U.S from Tonga in the 90's, she settled in Pittsburg, CA with her husband, where they happily raised their family.

Poliana enjoyed LIFE. She had such a fun loving and outgoing spirit, and was full of laughter and love. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going out with her friends, and you could usually find her at whatever big family or church event was going on that week. She had a creative mind filled with great ideas, and was able to bring many of those ideas to fruition in her various business ventures and endeavors.

Poliana loved her grandkids (Emma, Telesia Nicole, Sione, and Jerry "Mei Langi") and looked forward to every moment with each of them. She is also survived by her husband Kevin and her children Eleni, Tiana [Jerry], David [Rebekah], Katalina, and Sione (stillborn) along with her dog, Tavi. She is loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 9 , 2024, at 10:00am. The Bishops Program will begin at 11:00am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 2201 Golf Club Rd, Pittsburg, CA 94565 . Burial following at Oak View Memorial Park Cemetery.
