He touched many lives.  He was known as:  Lolo James, Ninong, Uncle, Kuya, Tito and Pare. Primo valued honor and respect.  A value that he and his wife Amy had for each other.  He encouraged others to chase their dreams, to make a better life for yourself and family.  To work in what you believe in, even when people didn't agree.  He did his best to make it a reality.  Especially for the many relatives with children.  Without his assistance, many would not be here today.  He enjoyed the family Christmas parties that would always be at his house with the table set up for mahjong.  Even though he didn't have his own grandchildren, the children would always call him Lolo James.

Primo was very proud of his service in the US Navy.  He served on 3 ships, a guided missile destroyer and 2 frigates.  He even served on the USS Enterprise.  His career brought him to Japan, Hawaii, Treasure Island San Francisco, Diego Garcia and Point Mugu. He retired in 1989 after serving for 23 years.

Primo was born in Artacho, Pangasinan, Philippines, the 6 ^th child in a family of 8 siblings. Primo is survived by his wife Amelia married for 51 years and daughters JoAnna Castillo (Eddie,) Lenda Jane Castillo Chandler(Jon) and his loving Apo Natalie who gave him great joy in life. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will deeply miss him.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 2pm to 6pm with a rosary at 4:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 11:00am at the Church of the Good Shepherd. Committal services following at Holy Cross Cemetery in Antioch.
