Rachel Victoria Cabrera, also known as Rachel Tiscareno Cabrera, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2026, at the age of 94. A devoted homemaker and avid gardener, Rachel spent her life nurturing those around her — both in her home and in her garden.
Rachel was born on January 12, 1932, in West Pittsburg, California — a community once known as Bella Vista — to Salvatore and Anita Bocardo Tiscareno. She was the youngest of eight children and grew up surrounded by the warmth of a large and loving family.
She was a faithful parishioner of Saint Peter Martyr Church in Pittsburg, California, where her faith was a cornerstone of her life. In her final years, Rachel resided at Parkside Manor in Pittsburg, California.
Rachel was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, John Cabrera, who passed away in 2023; her daughter, Valerie Cabrera of Antioch, California, who passed away in 2009; and all of her siblings: sisters Jenni Olvera of Richmond, California; Angela Espinosa of Antioch, California; Carmen Rutledge of Concord, California; Connie Roberts of Pittsburg, California; and Sally Sellers of Pittsburg, California; and brothers Alfonso Tiscareno and Salvatore Tiscareno, both of Pittsburg, California.
Rachel is survived by her children, Patricia Aliotti of Pittsburg, California, and John David Cabrera of Pittsburg, California; her grandchildren, Tamara Cabrera Ross and her husband Ken of Pittsburg, California; Ross William Aliotti Junior of Phoenix, Arizona; John Steven Aliotti and his wife Nicole of Sacramento, California; Santino Michael Aliotti of Pittsburg, California; and Rachel Beattie and her husband Ryan of Concord, California; her great-grandchildren, Taylor Aliotti of Monterey, California; Garrett Ross and McKenna Ross of Pittsburg, California; and Ava Aliotti and Aria Aliotti of Sacramento, California; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews in the Pittsburg, California area.
Rachel Victoria Cabrera leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and quiet strength. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 9:30 am at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy will follow at 11:30 am at St. Peter Martyr Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Antioch.
