Rachel Tolentino Ford was born in Manila, Philippines on May 23 ^rd , 1944. She was the youngest of five children, from the union of Carmen Lobo Tolentino and Abelardo Tolentino. Her father was in the US Army and so traveling was a given. He wanted his family with him but was only able to bring three of the five children as they traveled. Rachel and family lived in Japan for six years, Guam for three, and then Hawaii for two years. Rachel got to California when she was seventeen and had been there ever since. She attended Mission High School in San Francisco where she met Roosevelt Ford, her husband of 54 years.

Rachel started in banking at Crocker Bank and continued her career into Mortgage Management for over 30 years. She was a hard worker and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. After her long hours at work she would always make sure her family had a home cook meal every night. She always gave her family her all. She was lovingly known as "Raquel", "Quel", "Roch", "Grandma", "Grammy", "G-Ma", "Grandma-Roch", and the list goes on. Her best friends were her sisters and they spent countless weekends playing cards, playing mahjong or just laughing their Tolentino laugh.

Rachel departed this life on May 5 ^th , 2020. She was preceded by her caring husband, parents and all her siblings. They are all there waiting for her. She leaves to cherish her memory three children, Annette Ford-Ricafort, of Hayward, CA, son Arnold Ford of Brentwood, CA and Anna Lynn Ford-Cargill of Santa Rosa, CA; ten grandchildren, Rachelyn Ricafort, James Ford, Ashlee Delley, Leonardo Ricafort, Avery Cargill, Anthony Ford, Kaia Cargill, Leilani Ford, Isaiah Ford and Zion Cargill; four great-grandchildren; Noah Ford, Bentlee Delley, Livi Ford and Pierre Ford; also cherishing her memory are Tracy Williams, her daughter-in-law, Lourdes Rosado-Ford and son-in-law, Roman Cargill; four sisters-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, and precious life-long friends. Rachel will be profoundly missed and never forgotten…
