Ralph was born in El Paso, Texas on November 14, 1919 but was raised on Pittsburg. Ralph graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1939 and attended Cal Poly State before being drafted into the U.S. Army. Ralph served and fought in WW II with the 7th Armored Engineer Battalion. Ralph was always proud of serving his country and being a veteran.
Ralph was employed with U.S. Steel and retired after 35 years. Ralph was an avid 49er fan and a San Francisco Giants fan.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary and their children: Sylvia Bonilla (Manuel), Yolanda, Mark and Audrey Moral (Felix). Nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. His brother Oscar Sanchez and sister Mollie de la O. Ralph was preceded in death by his son Peter Joe, parents Jose and Rebecca Sanchez, siblings Mary Narez, Lupe Kuresh, Sally Paul. Robert Sanchez and Edward (Lalo) Sanchez.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 11:00am with a chapel blessing at 1:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. A Military burial will take place on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 2:30pm at the Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery, Dixon.
