Obituary

Ralph Torrano, 57 Years Young. A gentle giant, a teddy bear, a son, a brother, and a friend. Through every chapter of his life, Ralph remained deeply loved by those who truly knew him. His big heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering loyalty made him someone people felt close to and cared for.

Ralph had many passions. He loved food and was known for his impressive cooking abilities. He was a master in the garden, especially when it came to growing his own vegetables. He also enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, and spending time in the great outdoors.

During his childhood years, Ralph was active in sports and loved to build things. He spent time tinkering on cars with his father and brothers, which eventually led him to a career in construction. Over the years, he worked in roofing, tiling, plumbing, and building, taking pride in working with his hands.

Ralph, son of Ralph and Claudia Torrano, is survived by a large and loving family: his mother, Claudia Torrano; brothers, Harry and Frank Torrano; sisters, Deneé Torrano-Berliner and Michelle Torrano-Gill; sister-in-law, Sherry Torrano; brothers-in-law, Peter Berliner and Joe Gill; nieces and nephews, Frankie & Jessica Torrano, Courtney & Garry Ribeiro, Dominic Gill, Alexa & Mikey Figueroa, the triplets Shelly, Sydney, and Sierra Torrano, Bobby Berliner, and Kendal Berliner; and great-nieces and nephews, Mylee and Angelo Torrano, Gianna, Gino, and Vincent Ribeiro, and Jace, Cade, Charlie, and Isla Figueroa.

We would like to thank the staff at Lone Tree Post Acute, Antioch, for their top notch care; Lynae Koskey and Shannon Conrad for their compassionate caregiving services, professional and loving; and to the Sutter Hospice team for their unwavering attention during a difficult time.

Ralph's big heart and generous spirit will live on in the many lives he touched. May the wind be at your back and the open road ahead of you.

Celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 12:30 pm at Antioch at the Lone Tree Golf Course.
