Ray J. Martinez, peacefully passed away at home on July 27, 2022. Ray was born in Pittsburg, CA on August 16, 1940. He attended Pittsburg High School and graduated in 1958. His interests included gardening, fishing, camping, sports and spending time with his family and friends. He worked at Crown Zellerbach and later the Contra Costa Office of Education where he retired.
Ray is survived by his sister Lidia Morgan, children: Ron Lopez (Kelly) and Tina Lopez (Rich), grandchildren: Jessica (Peter), Darin (Cammie), Joey, Josh and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Martinez, his parents Ramon and Victoria Martinez and his sister Ernestine Rios.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm with a rosary at 4:00pm. Chapel blessing Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at 12:00pm both days at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Committal services following at Holy Cross Cemetery.
