Raymond Silva passed away peacefully on February 25, 2016. He was born on February 14, 1935 in Needles, CA. Life long resident of Pittsburg.
Owner of Juarez Mexican Restaurant in Antioch. He was a member of the Teamster's Union, Local 315, for 35 years. He worked at Sun Valley Lumber and Piedmont Lumber. He was also a musician. He played violin, guitar, piano and also was a very good singer. Member of St. Peter Martyr Catholic Church.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Eva and is three devoted children, Alfred Silva (Gloria), Ray Silva III (Rafaela) and Julie Silva, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Billy Silva and sister's Trini Mahl, Mary Rosgen, Connie Borgmeyer, Carmen Ray and Olivia Heaton. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roman and Carmen Silva, sisters Eufrocena Chagnon, Alicia Lopez. and brothers Emilio Calderon, Adolfo Calderon, Santiago Silva and Jerry Silva. His generous loving spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 4:00pm with a vigil at 7:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy Friday, March 4, 2016 at 10:00am at St. Peter Martyr Church. Committal services following at Holy Cross Cemetery.
