Remelena JOY Jagmis Rees was born on August 4, 1960 the Rodrigo and Remedios Jagmis. Our darling Joy was married to Denis Rees in Puerto Princesca, Palawan, Philippines. Joy was very appropriately named, she brought joy to so many in the Philippines and the United States of America! Joy was a proud citizen of both countries. She was a college graduate, business owner, and most of all she was a born again Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart. She was also a lover of all animals, especially dogs and supported their care and nurturing in both countries.

Joy's radiance, beauty and gracious ways were an inspiration to those who were blessed to know her, from her birthplace Manila, her home in Puerto Princesa and her most recent home in Pittsburg. To her credit, Joy maintained lasting friendships from her early childhood. After months of intense pain and suffering, precious Remelena (named for her mother and grandmother) Joy Rees passed away on September 7, 2021. All would agree that was much too soon!

Joy is survived by her loving husband Denis, her dear mother Remedios, and her brothers: Buddy and jimmy. God blessed us with her presence here and she is with Him forever in Heaven, complete with a beautiful new pain-free body which she richly deserves. Alleluia!
