Renee Hernandez Capurro went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 4, 2026. Renee was a beautiful soul whose love, laughter, and vibrant spirit brought joy to everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. She lived her life with a loving heart, a passion for family, and an appreciation for life's simple pleasures.

Renee was the eldest daughter of Peter Hernandez and Edna Zendejas. Renee attended local public schools and graduated from Pittsburg Sr. High. At the age of 18, Renee married the love of her life, Ron Capurro in Reno, Nevada in 1963. They raised their three children here in Pittsburg. Renee dedicated 26 years of her life to the Contra Costa County Mental Health Department. She attended Fellowship Church, where she found faith, fellowship, and a sense of community.

She had a love for dancing, gardening, and cooking. Her kitchen was always a place where love was shared, memories were made, and family came together. She found happiness in her garden, preparing delicious meals, and dancing whenever she had the chance. Renee also held a special place in her heart for Mazatlán, Mexico, a place that brought her joy and many cherished memories.

Above all, Renee's greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. Her family was the center of her world, and nothing made her happier than having everyone together. Whether celebrating special occasions, sharing laughter around the dinner table, or simply enjoying time with those she loved, Renee treasured every moment. The love she gave so freely will forever remain in the hearts of her family.

Renee will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her joyful spirit, her love of dancing, and the warmth she brought into every room. She leaves behind a lifetime of precious memories and a legacy of love that will continue for generations.

Renee was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Capurro. She is survived by her devoted children, Gina Capurro, Dominic Capurro (Maryann) and Nicole Ferrante (Vince); grandchildren Billy, Dezarey, Giana, Michaela, Dhaynae, MC III, Ronnie, Dominique and thirteen great-grandchildren, Dominic, Nicholas, Daniel, Brooklyn, Alessandra, MC IV, Apollo, Zulay, Giavana, Kyrie, Roman, Adrienne and Kyla. She is also survived by her siblings, Peter Hernandez, Sylvia Hernandez (Debbie), Blanca Huerta, and Laura Concepcion and Renee was preceded in death by her siblings, Martha Moran, David Huerta and Angel Huerta.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort knowing that her love will always surround us, her memories will forever bring us smiles, and her spirit will continue to dance in our hearts.

Forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.

Funeral memorial services will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 11:00am at Pittsburg Funeral Chapel.
