Restituto "Resty" Punzalan Sunga, age 80, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2013. He was born December 9, 1932, in the Philippines to the late Buenaventura and Fulgencia Sunga. He enlisted into the Navy in 1954. On August 30, 1959, he was united in marriage to Esmilesinda "Linda" Jaime. He served on the USS Coral Sea, was stationed at Kodiak, Alaska, Okinawa, and various bases throughout his military career. After 20 years of military service, in 1974 he briefly worked at Dow Chemical and then onto Dexter Hysol in the shipping & receiving department and fully retired in 1994 at the age of 62. Resty is survived by his five children Reny, Gina, Meding, Ricardo and Rodell, 14 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Metring, and his wife Linda.Funeral services were held. Thank you to the Jaime Family for their love and support.
