Rina Bruna Franceschina (nee Roman) passed away April 22, 2013 at the age of 88. A native of Fanna, Italy; she came to the US, Christmas Eve 1957 and immediately fell in love with this beautiful country. Formally from Chicago, IL and a long time resident of Antioch. She was a devoted mother and wife who enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and taking care of her family and home. She never said no to a game of cards, enjoyed traveling, bocce, and playing the slots in Reno.
Rina is survived by her loving children: Franca, Claudia (John), and George (Mary); and dear grandchildren: Tony, Joey, Chris, Gianna and Aria. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Tony.
A memorial and inurnment will be held at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of the East Bay or your favorite charity would be appreciated.
