Robert (Bob) Carter passed away on September 16, 2021, at the age of 57, in his hometown of Pittsburg, CA. He was a longtime resident of Pittsburg and spent several years living in Antioch with his family. He had a big heart and was there for his family and friends.

Bob graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1981. He briefly attended Los Medanos College and was employed in the refinery industry for over 30 years. Bob loved sports, the outdoors and riding his Harley Davidson with friends. His motorcycle rides included a trip to Sturgis and riding across several states to enjoy America's historic places and beautiful scenery. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and participating in a bowling league.

He was a loving and proud father of three children, attending all special moments and events to support them. They were his pride and joy. Family camping trips were a favorite, with annual camping trips to Pine Crest Lake and Stoney Ford. He also loved spending time with his sister at her home in Coarsegold near Yosemite.

He is survived by his children, Robert Carter, Richard (Ashley) Carter, and Kristyn Carter; sister Sara Carter and her partner, Denette Zaninovich. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles (Gene) and Margaret (Maggie) Carter.

A memorial services will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at 11:30am at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. 2A celebration of life will follow. Family and friends wishing to honor his memory may send flowers to the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel.
