Robert John Montemayor, aka "Bob" or "Bobby," was born October 28, 1948 in San Francisco, California to Felixberto and Filomena Montemayor. He passed away peacefully from his battle with cancer on Sunday, May 24, 2020, at his home in Pittsburg, California surrounded by family . Bob was 71 years-old.

Bob truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; he looked forward to family parties and picnics. He was always known to joke around to bring laughter to these gatherings. He valued family and spent the latter part of his life caring for his mom and brother, Johnny. Bob always was listening to music -- he had his favorites, but was always open to new artists. He loved watching Bay Area Sports teams and loved classic cars. Bob was a devout Catholic and had an unwavering faith in God.

Bob is survived by his children, Phil Montemayor and Katrina Montemayor, his son-in-law, Mikey Barairo, his granddaughter, Tala Montemayor-Barairo, his brother, John Montemayor, his sisters, Joan Lopez and Lorie Cadalin, his brother-in-law, Ben Cadalin, sister-in-law Norma Montemayor and those who helped with his care, Florence Montemayor and Joseph DeGuzman, and countless cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Basil Montemayor.
