Rocco Enea born in Pittsburg, California passed away at the age of 70 on Friday October 14, 2022, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his siblings Santo, Roseanne Hernandez (Oscar), Marie and Joann; nieces Christina Montez (Victor), Alicia Pekari-Murguia (Jesse), Patricia Ortiz (Michael) and thirteen great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Enea and Rosa (Geraci).

Rocco was a lifelong resident of Pittsburg where he attended school graduating with the class of 1970. He went on to further his education at UC Berkeley where he received his bachelor's degree and then he attended the University of Kennedy and St. Mary's college where he received his Master's in Education and Administration.

Rocco will be fondly remembered as a loving brother and uncle, a man of faith and of service. He was a dedicated 8th grade teacher and Vice Principal at St. Peter Martyr School in Pittsburg. He was a vital part of the St. Peter Martyr school leadership team for over 40 years. He shared his love of religion, faith, music and learning with his students and the surrounding community. Rocco was a lifelong member of the Church of the Good Shepherd where he served as Cantor and Director of the Choir for many years. Rocco made a lasting impression on each one of his students and colleagues. Though his earthly presence is gone, his legacy lives on in the many lives that he's touched throughout his life.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022, at 9:00am with a funeral liturgy at 11:00am all at Church of the Good Shepherd 3200 Harbor Street, Pittsburg, Ca 94565. Committal services following at Holy Cross Cemetery in Antioch. In lieu of flowers the Enea family requests that donations be made to the Good Shepherd Church or to St. Peter Martyr School for the Rocco Enea Memorial Scholarship fund.
