Obituary

It is with great sadness to announce the peaceful passing of Ronald Walter Miller, on Saturday, March 24, 2018, with his loving family by his side. Ron was born February 11, 1942, in Richmond, CA to the late Walter and Lyla Miller. Ron grew up in Richmond and attended school at Richmond High home of the Oilers. After graduation Ron joined the United States Army where he worked in electronics until 1967; then worked for Pitney Bowes until he retired.

Ron met the love of his life Sally Orozco in 1968, after 2 years of dating Ron finally popped the question and were married June 6, 1970.  Not only did Ron marry the love of his life he married the entire Orozco Family. Ron was the great outdoorsman he loved raising pigeons, camping, fishing, clam digging, hunting with his father, uncle and cousins, creating beautiful woodwork for his family, and even joined a basketball league with his Orozco brothers as "The Sexteto Diablos".  After retirement Ron worked part time for Enterprise. Ron loved spending time with his grandchildren whom he adored.

Ron is survived by his loving wife Sally, devoted children Jason (Michelle) and Joel; grandchildren Elyjah, Tahlyah, Joaquin, Jenna and Jeremiah; brothers Wayne (Denise), Richard (Elaine) and sister Joan (Gene).

Friends and family are invited to a memorial mass,  Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11:00am at Church of the Good Shepherd 3200 Harbor St., Pittsburg, CA 94565. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations can be made in Ron's Memory to the Church of the Good Shepherd.
