Rosalio "Roberto" Lira Campos partió para estar con su Señor el 17 de julio de 2026.

Nació el 30 de agosto de 1950 en Jalisco, México, hijo de Gregorio Lira y Julia Campos. En 1978, Rosalio se casó con el gran amor de su vida, y el mayor apoyo que Dios le concedió en esta tierra: su amada esposa, Elba. En 1984 emigró a los Estados Unidos, donde se estableció en Pittsburg, California.

Trabajó como cocinero durante toda su vida y se jubiló en 2009, tras 21 años de servicio en la New Mecca Cafe. En 2005 nació de nuevo al aceptar a Jesucristo como su Señor y Salvador. Rosalio amaba cocinar para los demás y tenía el don de preparar comidas deliciosas con prácticamente cualquier ingrediente.

Durante los últimos dos años de su vida luchó con valentía por permanecer junto a su amada esposa, sus hijos, sus nietos y sus hermanos. Finalmente, Dios le concedió el descanso. A lo largo de su vida desempeñó fielmente los papeles de hijo, hermano, primo, esposo, padre, tío, abuelito y cocinero.

Le sobreviven su esposa, Elba; sus cuatro hijos: Heraldo, Roberto, Cristóbal y Arnoldo; y sus ocho nietos: Cedric, Javier, Heavently, Alessandra, Itzel, Arek, Maya y Aniah.

El ejemplo que nos dejó fue que rendirse nunca era una opción y que, con la ayuda de Dios, debía luchar para permanecer junto a su familia hasta el final de sus días.

Rosalio "Roberto" Lira Campos departed to be with his Lord on July 17, 2026.

He was born on August 30, 1950, in Jalisco, Mexico, the son of Gregorio Lira and Julia Campos. In 1978, Rosalio married the great love of his life and the greatest support God granted him on this earth: his beloved wife, Elba. In 1984, he immigrated to the United States, settling in Pittsburg, California.

He worked as a cook throughout his life and retired in 2009 after 21 years of service at the New Mecca Cafe. In 2005, he was born again upon accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Rosalio loved cooking for others and possessed the gift of preparing delicious meals using practically any ingredient.

During the last two years of his life, he fought bravely to remain with his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, and siblings. Finally, God granted him rest. Throughout his life, he faithfully fulfilled the roles of son, brother, cousin, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and cook.

He is survived by his wife, Elba; his four sons: Heraldo, Roberto, Cristóbal, and Arnoldo; and his eight grandchildren: Cedric, Javier, Heavently, Alessandra, Itzel, Arek, Maya, and Aniah.

The example he left us was that giving up was never an option and that, with God's help, one must fight to remain with family until the end of one's days.
