Rose M. Enea passed away peacefully on May 30, 2015. Rose was a lifelong resident of Pittsburg. She was the eldest daughter born to Michael and Francesca (Rappa) Balestreri who descended from Italy. Rose married Frank J. Enea in July of 1940 and they had 4 daughters. Rose worked for over 25 years in various canneries. Rose was a devout Catholic and loved attending bible study, however, Rose gained the most joy from her family.
Rose is survived by her four daughters: Rosetta (Joseph) Lucido, Sharon (Benny) Cataldo, Francesca Shinn, Mary Vogel, and 2 sisters: Mary (Sal) Michel, Katie Nava, 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Frank, two sisters, and a brother. Her generous loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her. A sincere Thank-you to the staff and nurses from Diamond Ridge Healthcare Center and Sutter Hospice.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 5pm with a vigil at 7pm. Funeral liturgy Friday, June 5, 2015 at 1:00pm both days at Church of the Good Shepherd. Committal services following at Holy Cross Cemetery, Antioch.
