Ruby Molinari passed away on Wednesday from complications of pneumonia. She was well loved by her family and honored for her contributions to the community of West Contra Costa County.

Ruby was born in Twin falls, Idaho to Bessie and James Moore. She came to the San Francisco bay area in 1946 and resided in San Francisco until moving to Daly City in 1948 with her husband Ernest Molinari. Ruby moved to El Sobrante in the early 1970s. Ruby was active in her community and served as a member and later Chairman of The El Sobrante MAC. She served on the Planning and Zoning Advisory Committee as well as the West County Alcohol Policy Working Group.

Ruby was one of 7 siblings and is survived only by her sister Doris. Ruby is also survived by her 2 children Mike Molinari and Melissa Johnson, grandchildren: Allan Molinari, Sandra Gardner, Casey Harper, Lynn Martin, Judy Harper, Matt Harper and Ryan Harper. Ruby was preceded in death by her granddaughter Joyce Molinari, former husband Ernest Molinari and longtime companion Ray Denny.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5, 2014 at 11:00am with funeral services at 12:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Private burial will be at Rolling Hills Cemetery, Richmond.
