Ruth passed away on Sunday after a courageous battle with cancer. She touched the hearts of everyone who met her.
Ruth was born in Covina, CA, but was very proud of her native Alaskan heritage. She attended several different schools while growing up and moving about with her family and graduated from Fontana High School. She moved to Antioch in 1986, and worked for the City of Pittsburg for over 20 years, as a sewer truck operator, lighting and traffic signal technician, and street sweeper.
Ruth is survived by her husband Scott, sons Thomas and Matthew, daughters-in-law Linda & Laura, daughter Elizabeth, grandchildren Nicholas & Sophia, canine children Lucy, Hemi & Buddha, mother Mary Teresin, brothers & sisters Marty Teresin, Kelli Nodurfth, Charlotte Wright, Mark Teresin, Leilani Valdepena, & Keith Wilson, numerous nieces and nephews, and her wonderfully loving adopted family Jack Thomas (Papa), Deb, Joshua, Brandon, Amy, Sara, Nicole, Julie, Tom, Kyleigh, Jacob, Kristiana, Lisa, & Jordan. She was preceded in death by her father Martin Teresin, sister Rhonda Martinson, son David Zygutis & aunt Sharon Ortega.
Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing Monday, Sept. 15th at 10:00am with services at 1:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel.
