Ryan Mingo's Obituary
Ryan Mingo was born in New Orleans ,Louisiana. He came to Oakland CA when he was a little boy. He attended Lafayette Elementary, Calvin Simmons Jr, Edward Shane adult and graduated from Fremont High School. He became the life of every party. Whenever you seen Ryan you knew you were about to have a good time! In his adult life he started to take an interest in cooking. Working in upscale restaurant's like Spenger's, Gather and Lake Chalet to name a few. He loved cooking for everyone. With him around you got the whole party package in one person. He provided good food and laughter. In October 2015 Ryan was diagnosed with congestive heart failure( CHF). Ryan did not let this stop him from doing what he loved most. He kept a smile on his face, despite getting this devastating news. It wasn't until the end of 2019 that his battle with CHF started to get the best of him. He was admitted to the hospital in September 2019, had the LVAD surgery ( left ventricular assist device) in October of 2019. We were hoping for a new start, but Ryan endured several complications and had to have several surgeries during his five month stay in the hospital. From the time he got out in February 2020 up until his final day on August 31,2020 he had been in and out of the hospital. There had been many setbacks, but he fought hard. Knowing that he is no longer suffering is what gives his love ones some comfort. He leaves behind a mother, grandmother, fiancée,many aunts, uncles cousins, and friends. He will truly be missed.
