Salvador "Sal" Luna Acosta was born in Mexico on Dec. 2, 1928. He passed away on June 10, 2024.

Sal was a retired solid waste driver for Valley Waste Management for 23 years. His proudest accomplishment was becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1995.

Sal was the son of Candido Acosta and Margarita Luna of Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents, Candido and Margarita, his wife Victoria, sons David (infant), David S., and Salvador Jr. (Gordo).

Left to cherish his memory are daughter Marjorie, sons Larry and Gary, grandchildren David, Amber, Tiffany, Katrina, Dusty, numerous great grandchildren, many relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 10:00am with a funeral service at 11:00am at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Burial following at Oak View Memorial Park in Antioch.
