Salvatore Bruno passed away peacefully on Tuesday after a valiant battle with cancer.

Salvatore was born and raised in Isola Delle Femmine, Sicily. Shortly after coming to the U. S. the family owned and operated Naples bakery; soon after, with hard work, they bought and operated CM Bruno and Sons Family Market and Papa Cosimo's Pizza for many years in West Pittsburg.

Sal was preceded in death by his parents Cosimo and Maria Giovanna Bruno, brother Gino Bruno and his sister Josie Bruno-Dossey.

He was married to the late Carolyn Bruno for 48 years and now joins her in paradise. He leaves behind their four children: Sal C. Bruno, Daniel G. Bruno, Maria M. Bruno, Giovanni G. Bruno, and three grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers Joe and John (Cindy) two sisters Maria Morena (Rex), Maddalena Jasheck ,sister in law Lana Bruno and many nieces ,nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 4:00pm with a vigil at 7:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 10:00am at Church of the Good Shepherd. Committal services following at Holy Cross Cemetery, Antioch.
