Sandra Jean Ferrari, passed away on Saturday surrounded by her family. She was born in Aurora, IL to Lester Raymond and Eva Hickey. She moved to Pittsburg when she was 10. She graduated from Pittsburg High School and went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts Degree from San Francisco State University.
Sandra married the love of her life, John Anthony Ferrari in 1960 and remained married until his death in 1977. She worked as a teacher with the Pittsburg Unified School District and later went on to work at the Byron Boys Ranch until her retirement in 2003. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and reading. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.
Sandra is survived by her daughter Catherine Williams of Pittsburg, grandchildren Kristin Bain of Santa Clarita, Shanelle and Ricki Williams of Pittsburg and two great grandchildren Zayden Burkett and Malaunah Burns. She was preceded in death by her husband John Ferrari. Her Kindness and sweet spirit will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 12:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Burial following at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Concord.
