Sandra Ann Luoni, of Antioch, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023 at the age of 66. Sandy was born on September 8, 1956 to parents, Andrew and Shirley Luoni in Pittsburg, CA.

She attended elementary, middle, and high school in Pittsburg. After Sandy graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1974, she went on to study at Diablo Valley College. After getting her AA, she started her first job at Williamson Engineering as a drafter.

Sandy married Mark Mays and moved to Grass Valley, where she worked for the Nevada County Board of Realtors.  They moved to Antioch where she started working at Kaiser in 1990  and eventually became a pharmacy technician.  She enjoyed baking, camping, cooking, going to concerts, entertaining guests, and traveling with friends and family.  She was a very talented cake designer and made unique cakes for friends and family.  She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2012, and continued to work at Kaiser until she retired in 2016.

Sandy is survived by her mother, Shirley Luoni, her daughter, Megan Mays, her son, Ryan Mays, her sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Mike Mills, her niece, Madison Mills, and two granddaughters, Emmersyn and Hadley Mays.  Over the last decade, Dennis Hall has been her companion and caretaker.

Sandy will be truly missed by all who knew her and we hope that all of her family and friends can join us to celebrate her life on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at The Orchard Club House in Brentwood from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.
