Sela Meleane Lovey Rosalez- Mataele tragically passed away with her father Ramiro Castro by car accident from an intoxicated driver. Sela and Ramiro were both pillars of strength and light in their family.

Sela was born in Pittsburg, CA and attended Heights Elementary School as a second grader. Sela shined with radiance as she would be seen on the playground with a bright smile, making friends, being a peacemaker and always lending a helpful eager hand to her peers and teachers. Sela was a confident, kind, loving and an extraordinary seven-year-old leader. Sela turned uncertainty into faith, unknown individuals into friends and the gloom of day into brightness. Sela took pride in her ethnic and cultural roots, always spreading and teaching her values with the people around her. Sela was an innocent bright soul that wanted to help the world, influence others around her, play and take care of her dolls, mentor her siblings, laugh, smile and have fun.

Sela is survived by her loving mother, Corrina Rosalez; brothers Julian Castro and Nicholas Rosalez- Mataele. The kind bright spirit of Sela and her father Ramiro will be missed and carried on by all who knew and loved them.
Friends and Family are invited to Sela's send off on Thursday May 20th and Friday May 21st.
