It is with great sadness I stand here today speaking with you. My baby sister passed away in a car accident last week and it was devastating to our family.
Shanna Angel Porras (Sadie) was only 19. She was born on February 3rd to Amy Jurica and Beto Porras, and was then raised with much love by Elias and Beverly Villasenor. She passed on November 15th, 2016.
Sadie grew up spending her summer vacations in Idaho with her brother Chris Jurica, her mother Amy Jurica, and her baby's father, Nick. Sadie enjoyed softball in her younger years and moved on to cheerleading as she got older. She was very active and out-going.
She loved the outdoors, and especially loved our family camping trips. She sold lemonade from her lemonade stand made by her Papa. She had a big heart. She loved animals. There were several animals that she found and brought home and took care of them and made our home their home. She loved them all to the fullest. I can still see her sharing her lollipop with her doggy.
Sadie leaves behind her beautiful one year old daughter, Arcela.
Her loving parents; Beverly and Elias Villasenor, Beto Porras, and Amy Jurica. Her siblings; Evelyn, Sylvia, Rita, Nikki and the 23 Porras brothers and sisters.
Her Cousins; Jason, Andrew, Isabella, David, Javier, Luis, Klowie, Giselle and Bryce.
I sit here and I can still see her beautiful smile and her hear her laugh. She always filled the room with so much joy, love and laughter. As little girls we loved braiding barbies hair and making up our own dance moves in the garage with our friends to show our parents. I can remember her going everywhere with me. I remember our little fights when I would put her in the toybox, or we would steal each others toys.
She grew up to be a smart girl. Straight A's and B's. She always tried her best as she got older. Although she didn't know what she wanted to be, she knew she wanted her career to be of one that helped others. She always cared about everyone and put people before herself.
Sadie will be surely missed by so many people. She was taken way too soon. May she rest in peace with the Angels and never be forgotten. We love you baby girl.
Rest in peace, for you are with our Heavenly Father.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 11:00am with a service at 12:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel.
