Steven Gavin Unangst, age 16, passed away unexpectedly in Antioch on Dec. 19. Steven, a student at Pittsburg High School, was born in Walnut Creek. He is survived by his father Steven G. Unangst, sister Jaina Unangst, brothers Connor Pita and Kyle Agalsoff, cousins Jakob and Justice Cardon, uncle Erik Unangst, grandmother Karla Garvey, and many other relatives throughout California.
He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 48, and an active participant in the ECSM Youth Group and Community Presbyterian Church. He served on the Inter-Faith Church Youth Council and was a volunteer staff member for Summer PE Sports. Steven enjoyed skateboarding and hanging out with his many friends, running, video games, and music.
Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life to be held at 11:00am on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Community Presbyterian Church in the Stoneman Chapel, 200 E. Leland, Pittsburg, CA 94565. Family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Steven's name to ECSM Youth Group, c/o Community Presbyterian Church.
