Our loving son, Taylor Joseph Bustos, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 18, 2023.  He was 31 years old.  He touched many lives with his passion for living, his funny sense of humor and his big heart.

Taylor was born in Walnut Creek, California on July 26, 1991.  He attended grammar school at St. Peter Martyr and graduated from Pittsburg High School in 2010.  Taylor was extremely proud to live in Pittsburg.  After high school, he joined his father, Robert J. Bustos and his brother, R. Andrew Bustos, in the apprenticeship through the Steamfitters/Pipefitters Local 342 program and graduated as a Steamfitter.  Taylor was promoted to Forman the day before his passing.  He was so proud of himself as was his family.

He loved to fish, work out, and was a natural athlete.  He excelled in basketball, but most of all, was a talented artist.

He is survived by his loving girlfriend, Nancy Manriquez; his parents, Robert J., and Pamela L. Bustos; his brother, R. Andrew Bustos, his sister-in-law, Lacey Bustos; his niece and nephew, Ellianna Bustos and Blake Whitcomb, and his grandparents, Robert A. and Mary A. Jones.

A memorial funeral liturgy and rosary will be held on  Monday, June 5, 2023, at 12:00pm at Church of the Good Shepherd 3200 Harbor Street, Pittsburg. Inurnment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Antioch. Please join us for the reception to continue the Celebration of Life at the Church of the Good Shepherd Hall located at 3200 Harbor Street in Pittsburg.  We will be serving food and drinks and sharing loving and very funny stories about Taylor.
