Lola passed away peacefully with all her children at her bedside on October 17, 2021 in Pittsburg at the age of 96. Lola was born on July 25, 1925 in San Miguel el Alto, Jalisco, Mexico to parents Gregorio De La Cruz and Lucia Gomez.
Lola is survived by her son Ralph Romo(Brenda Belsher) of Lodi, Frank Romo(Debra Stevens-Deceased) of Pittsburg, Alicia Romo Mijares(Mike Mijares) of Elk Grove, Martha Romo Glavaris(Larry Glavaris) of Galt, Armando Romo(Diane Hernandez) of Pittsburg, Olga M Romo Parras "Chata" (Mike Parras) of Pittsburg,
Maria L Romo Giacomelli "Lucy" (Ray Giacomelli-Deceased) of Clayton, and David J Romo of Pittsburg. Lola had 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Rafael Romo Perez in 1999.
Lola a homemaker liked cooking, baking, sewing, and knitting. She was very dedicated to the church. She was a member of Guadalupana Auxiliar and Maria Auxiliadora and served in ministries for the church.
She had many friends in the church, loved by many and better known as "Lolita."
