Thomas (Lee) McDaniel Jr. passed away suddenly at the Martinez VA hospital. He was a resident of Bay Point for 31 years. His humor and kindness has touched many people.
Thomas was born in Albany, CA. and after high school served in the U.S. Army for 2 years in Vietnam. After settling down and finding a family, he spent 33 years happily working for Berkeley Farms as a Yard Hustler. He was a wonderful father, husband, brother, Uncle, and friend to many. In his free time he loved reading, the outdoors, and being with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Vera (Rael) McDaniel, son Raymond Lee McDaniel of Antioch, daughter Katryna Marie McDaniel of Bay Point, three siblings, Rose Thompson of Hillman, MI., Wally McDaniel of Rio Vista, CA., Sherry Hill of Reno, NV., many nieces and nephews in many different states across the U.S. Thomas is preceded in death by his brother Donny McDaniel of Colville, WA., his mother Frances Lewellen, and father Thomas Leo McDaniel.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 27, 2015 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral services Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 10:00am both days at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Burial following at Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery, Dixon.
