Thomas Dominic Napolitano passed away peacefully at his home, with his family by his side, in Pittsburg, CA on January 2, 2012 at the age of 89. He was born on December 2, 1922 in Detroit, Michigan.He was a veteran of World War II and landed on the beach in Normandy the day after D-Day and earned 2 Overseas Service Bars, an American Theater Ribbon, the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with 1 Silver and 1 Bronze Battle Star, as well as a Good Conduct Medal and Distinguished Unit Badge. He earned an honorable Discharge with the Army Air Corp. Thomas was also a Rancher and then Manager of the family owned G. Continente Farms. He enjoyed
gardening and the gathering of friends and family
telling his stories which will be missed by all.He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rose Continente Napolitano, daughter
Francesca Napolitano Lewis(son-in-law Larry), grandkids Roxanne Lewis Saucedo(grandson-in-law Marcelino), and Thomas John Lewis, great-grandkids Alexandria, Arianna and Dominic Saucedo, brother Tony Napolitano and sisters Sarah Epifanio and Madeline Holdway.He is preceded in death by parents Phillip Napolitano and Francesca Siragusa Napolitano, son John Napolitano and granddaughter

At the request of Thomas there will not be services or a memorial, but his loved ones would like to invite family and friends for a gathering at their home on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 2pm to celebrate the life of Thomas and share your stories.
