Timothy Wayne Mays was born to the late Pecola and Maxine Mays on August 15, 1964 in Monroe, Louisiana. He was the 9th child of 11 siblings. Timothy and his family moved to California in 1966, when he was 2 years old. He attended Pittsburg High School and continues his education at Mt. Diablo High School, where he graduated in 1983.
Timothy was very athletic and energetic. He loved cooking, family, dancing, joking, fishing, and having fun. In his young adulthood, he was known to jog from Mt. Diablo to Pittsburg, just to stay fit. He attended a training camp for a Pro baseball team (Blue Jays) as a pitcher, which he had a true gift and talent for. Timothy and his loving wife Kathy Renee Nord were together for 18 years. They united in matrimony on August 6, 2005 and brought to their union five sons and one daughter. Timothy worked various jobs in construction, from building steel frames to painting houses. He started working in 2007 for Loaves & Fishes as a truck driver, delivering food to different locations to feed the homeless. He was loved by his coworkers and well known throughout the community. He would help any and everyone who was in need. At the end of every work day he would enjoy coming home to drink his Rolling Rock beer and light one up!!!
Timothy Mays departed this life on July 28, 2016 and was preceded in death by his parents, Pecola and Maxine Mays. Three brothers, Randy, Gary, and Phil Mays, one sister, Brenda Mays. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Kathy Mays, daughter, Timeesha Mays, aka Punkin, five sons, Timothy P. (Brittany), Qwame (Tika) Deante (Maria), Keywane aka Kaliayah Mays, and DeCory (Katrice) Grays. Nine grandchildren, four brothers, Billy, Bruce, Ricky, and Danny Mays. Three sisters, Jackie Davis, LaVern Glasper, and Sandra McHenry. Stepbrother, Joe Mays and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Quiet hour will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00pm. Funeral services Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 11:00am both days at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Burial following at Oak View Memorial Park in Antioch.
