Troy Hilario Mallari Carrillo, a servant of God, a great man, loving husband, adoring father & grandfather, died suddenly on April 3, 2016 in Pittsburg, CA. He was born in Pampanga, Philippines the son of late Melencio & Felisa (Mallari) Carrillo. At 10 years old, his family moved from the Philippines to Pittsburg, CA. This is where he met his wife, Dorothy Marquez in the 3rd grade. They were happily married for 40 years and had three children: Naté (Reuben), Domenique (Rochelle) and Troy-David. They have 5 grandchildren: Tatum, Taliya, Jacob, Scarlett & Sophia.
His life's mission for the last 28 years was to serve the Lord throughout the Pittsburg community and the Bay Area prison ministry. He touched so many lives with his big heart. Troy joined the Navy in 1976. He also worked for Caltrans as a structural steel painter for 10 years and managed his own contracting business.
Troy is also survived by his sisters: Fe (Ben), Flor (Jun deceased), Linda (Lorenzo), Lette (Lino), Rennie (Vangie), and Felipa (Mer) as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews within the Mallari, Carrillo and Marquez family. He was preceded in death by his brother Abelardo.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 8, 2016 at 5:00pm with a service at 6:00pm. Funeral service Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 11:00am both days at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel.
